Nico Maas started GAUTENG PILING in 1996, having been in the piling business since 1975, after being a director of Dura Piling for 8 years since 1988.

Hettie Maas and Eulalia Pieterse, are responsible for all accounting and administrative functions.

Hennie Bester joined the company as a shareholder in 2002 and looks after the day to day running of the company. Hennie has many years of experience, including Umzimkulu River Bridge and Columbus Stainless Steel.

Aubrey Litkie joined the company as plant manager in 2007, having worked for Dura Piling for more than 20 years. Aubrey is very experienced in the maintenance of piling machines. He is ably assisted by Willem Lotterie, our yard manager and Jan Lotterie, our plant foremen, as well as a number of mechanics and welders.

Ignatius is our estimator, while our young contracts engineers, Nontobeko, Lwandiso and Lindelo, each look after their own contracts. 

Alfred Phiri, Herbert Thani and Jacob Phiri are our site agents while a number of foremen are in charge of their own sites.

Our operators have each taken charge of one of our machines and in addition to our other regular staff, we use contract labour on all our contracts.

TECHINICAL BACKUP from various geotechnical and design engineers is used when required.

Collectively we have the appropriate experience in piling for the work we tackle.
