Since the arrival of the first piling machine in Johannesburg in July 1996, GAUTENG PILING has completed more than 1200 contracts; all with great success, says Nico Maas. Our clients are satisfied with the price, quality, as well as the time in which we completed these contracts.
In 2009 a very difficult and challenging contract was completed for PPC in Hercules, Pretoria. Various unforeseen conditions made this the most difficult job completed to date, but at the end the client complimented GAUTENG PILING on the way that these challenges were tackled and overcome.

The piling fleet presently consists of 21 auger machines, 3 cranes, 4 bore rigs and 6 Grundo hammers, as well as 2 machines for lateral support. Freestate Piling, their subsidiary, owns their own 2 machines and is the only piling company based in the Free State.
GAUTENG PILING
's largest contract to date was in Angola for Group Five International (6 900 piles), where 2 machines were busy for about 50 months.
Work in and around Gauteng has slowed down due to the downturn in the building industry and this means that work is being sourced elsewhere, while a number of lateral support jobs have also been completed, says Maas.
GAUTENG PILING
has also been very successful with the installation of "Grundo"-piles, which are mainly used in the residential market, as well as for underpinning.
By continuing to concentrate on straight shafted augered piles, in Gauteng and surrounding provinces, we stay committed to our clients and their needs.
GAUTENG PILING
actively promotes the idea of partnering, which means working together with all the parties involved on a contract, as a team, rather than working for the client, professionals or contractor and sometimes not in the best interest of the project.
